Martin Scorsese brings Rolls Royce to big screen
When you think Rolls Royce history you don't think political intrigue and highly charged love affairs, but Scorsese, Lord Attenborough, and Anthony Haas will are producing a new movie about the beginnings of Rolls-Royce.
"Silver Ghost" is the story of Lord Montagu’s efforts to pass legislation that enabled the automobile industry to thrive in England at the turn of the century. Not just the backroom dealing, but the love affars surrounding the faililies and relationships with Charles Rolls and Henry Royce, and artist Charles Sykes. Also in “Silver Ghost” are Montagu’s wife Cis and his mistress Eleanor Velasco Thornton, who would later be sculpted by Sykes, and become the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament .
This promises to be anything but a "proper" story... I can hardly wait!
We'll post a movie trailer as soon as one is available
